The Faces of Mercy

A collaborative work by visual artist Nike Arrighi Borghese, poet Kevin Brophy and composer George Palmer, has been commissioned by the Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney, the Australian Catholic University and Catholic Super to mark the Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy announced by Pope Francis. The Faces of Mercy, produced and directed by Michael Campbell, with additional text by Professor Clare Johnson of the ACU, was performed by Amelia Farrugia, soprano, and the Choir of St Mary’s Cathedral, Sydney under the direction of Thomas Wilson, in the Crypt of the Cathedral on 23 October,  2016 and will be performed in Rome on 17 November, 2016 in the chapel of Domus Australia.
